I bought a little USB 2.0 external 2.5" HD enclosure a few weeks ago. I put an old 6Gig laptop drive I had from an old project that never worked. It's rather nice and lets me keep a portible backup of a lot of my stuff as well as the ability to transfer large things easily. Pretty speedy when plugged into a USB 2.0 port. It needs 2 open ports to work though (the second USB plug is just for power).
