Take the car to the alignment shop if they can't hit OE specs by rights you should have an alignment kit. But the degree of tire wear you gain from the drop is up to you whether on not you need the kit.

A 1" drop shouldn't be out too much, but I'd take the advise of the alignment shop if you don't know these kind of things or aren't all that mechanically inclinded.
