My friend is installing the header, and the flanges dont meet the cat perfectly....also, the spring loaded bolts wont bring it closed. I never had this problem, and just used the spring bolts on the cat, and regular bolts on the back side.

Can regular bolts be used here to bring it true, or are the spring bolts required? I'd say just bolt it closed personally, but want to be sure for his sake.
