- 4100k = yellow
4100k-4300k = white
6000k-8000k = white with a very slight tint of blue
anything above 8000k = blue purple

Usually for best lighting, you should stay around 4100-4300k and no more than 6000k.. After 6000k, you will start losing lighting and wont be able to see as far as 4100-4300k...

And of course when you get new bulbs, you have to colorshift the bulbs (break them in) to actually show their true color...
