I've driven a few GS-Rs and I'm not saying they're work trucks or anything, but I wasn't overly impressed. I've never owned one so I don't realy think I can pass judgment on them though.
I haven't had the pleasure to drive a Type R, which I hear is leaps and bounds above the GS-R as far as handling. I do have a local here who has about 3000 bones into his Type R and is not even breaking 200whp after being dyno tuned by a local shop. It's not getto rigged and has a good list of top of the line parts. $3000 into a GSX will put you into the low 13s, high 12s . <-- not flaming, so please take no offence. I just don't think Honda's and DSMs are in the same straight line class.
