you act like you should be proud of this motor. i believe you have a k20a3 engine, if it's the same engine as our civic si. that motor IS a piece of shit because it's more of an econo engine than the k20 from a new integra type R (rsx-r) or the k20a2 from the rsx type s here in america. the k20a3 motor doesn't utilize VTEC in the same manner as the older b-series and the k20 from the rsx and the tsx engines.
also b18c1's came with 170 and 180 hp depending on the year. the strongest engine that can be easily swapped into a civic right now, in my opinion, is the new rsx engine. not only are they slightly lighter than the b-series, they also have more torque and horsepower, and lose less power from the crank to the wheels. the k-series engines are also more responsive to simple bolt-on's.
