a good/easy way to test a start is get a test light and ground the test light out and then touch the positive connection on the starter.. got power? if not fix the power wire.. then re-test... BUT if you do get power.. put the test light connection on the POSITIVE battery side and touch the STARTER to test for a ground connection... got a good ground? if not fix the ground issue... BUT if you have everything good (power/ground) your soleniod is bad thus meaning get a new starter!
