Grew up in the 80's. We had video games of sorts, but we still spent more time outside than playing video games. We also didn't spend much time watching the VCR because we had a Betamax, and everyone stopped carrying Beta (we eventually got a VHS). Also, my parents didn't get cable TV until about 2 years ago.
