This is how you do it on an 88 accord, but im not real sure if its the same.

Here is the standard procedure required to change your main relay.

The main relay is located just right above the hood release, inside the dash panel bolted to the left kick panel with a bolt that will fit a 10 mm socket. It has seven wires from the connector.

1. Remove the coin box (for clearer view)
2. With a 10 mm socket or wrench
3. Reach deep inside and at the top of the relay there you will feel a bolt.
4. Unbolt it.
5. Bring the relay down and unplug the connector by squeezing the lock flap and separate the connector from the relay.

Installation is the reverse of the procedure, although it isn't require to bolt it back at its original spot. Move the relay to a low, suitable spot where it is cool and away from heat vents.
There is also another way to change the relay without removing the bolt. You just need to unplug the main relay harness, pry the brown base out of the black casing of your current relay and insert the new relay brown base in with a click, plug in the harness and that's it.
