i think this argument comes from the same mentality of those who think that any ground(in terms of electical) will work just the same. this is not true.
i think the same goes with the spark. not every spark will be equal. and i think thats why there r so many different plugs.
but i've also heard that the platinum's were over rated but to not settle for the cheaper ones. i'd go for the middle ground on this one.
