I disagree with Bush's handling of the government's finances. Disagreeing with financial policy is not the same thing as saying the economy is bad and it's Bush's fault.

I do not believe in cutting taxes while raising spending. I do not believe in passing a Medicare bill which gives people a "discount" on drugs while raising their premiums and deductibles but makes the government spend more money to pay for those drugs because the premium and deductible increases are used to to give payouts to private health plans that only 1/10 of Medicare members are enrolled in. I do not believe in passing an bill which promises to pay for yet more needless standardized tests in K-12 schools and then sticks the local school districts with the bill. I do not believe in decreasing federal funding for public higher education institutions and expecting them to make up the difference through tuition hikes and alumni donations.
