yeah the 750's are a decent tire for what you want. better than the es100's, imo.

the pirelli pzero neros are pretty nice too, solid all around performer, i got about 25,000 miles on my set before they died. not the best grip but good wet traction.

you may want to check out the goodyear F1 GSD3's which get rave reviews and seem to have decent life for a top flight performance tire. i know tirerack was having a sale on them a few months ago at 118/tire for 205/50/16.
