I also realized marking the cones is a really good way to learn the course. My brother and I helped mark a portion of the course and it gave us a good feel for what we were up against.
and what i'm saying is if that is the way the course was designed then that is the way the course is designed. there is no rule that says the cones in a slalom has to be in a certain way.
