Since your really confusing me, calling something a cable transmission.. Lets go thru the procedure for both, an automatic and a manual transmission. Honda automatics have a dipstick, pull it out, there will be a cross hatch on the bottom, it should be at the top line. Its checked engine off and vehicle level. Use Honda ATF only,, the use of dextron will cause a harsh shift.. IF you have a manual Transmission, your going to have to crawl under the vehicle, to the rear of the passenger side axle you will see a large bolt, 17 MM wrench size, remove that bolt, the fluid level should be level with the bottom of the threads of that opening. The Oil used in a manual transmission is the same motor you use in your rngine or Manual Transmission available at your dealer. How you get that oil in there is up to you, some creative use of a funnel, suction gun or a pump is needed..
