For four or five months around the winter of 2003, it averaged 26-27mpg, but that was mostly because it was so cold, and because of oxygenated fuel, and because so much of my driving was ferrying my fiancee back and forth to work. (She doesn't drive in the snow.) That was the worst economy that I've gotten out of it in the four and a half years I've owned it.

Overall, since I got the car in April of 2000 (with 29,124 miles on it), I've averaged 29.0mpg (100,579 m / 3,468.5 g ... yes, I've noted the exact mileage for each one of 243 fills on a spreadsheet). The 88 Civic DX HB that the it replaced was, of course, better, but I'm still really pleased with the Accord's performance.

But I sure do miss that Civic.
