That includes many inactive members.
The Database was NOT cleaned out when PO.Com split from this site.
Having 10,000-14,000 Inactive members costs the board nothing other than a small amount of disk space, they're not consuming any bandwidth.

We're preparing for increased traffic from the HP.com shutdown and also hoping to 'keep away' any people who want to migrate TO preludeonline.com just to hang out in the Off Topic room all day. Getting a measly $6 from each member should cut down on instances of 'closing of Off Topic' and 'we Raise $1000 by Friday or Off topic and 3 other forums go bye bye'.
I've donated $106.53 to the site since I've been there, and there are others who donate much more.
PO.com costs $300-$400 per month to run and I believe the owner gets a discount from the host because he works for them.
