Torgue really is a subject that confounds even the experts.. Flywheel weight is another matter.. The more rotational mass you have,, the less likely the chance to stall your vehicle when you engage your clutch.. The Flywheel stores energy,, it resits slowing down,, like when you engage your clutch.. Im keeping as simple as i can,, bear with me,,When you lighten your flywheel,, You free up the ability for your engine to rev up quicker,, thats a good thing for racing or quick accel.. What you will lose is,, you engine to recover from a load,, like engageing the clutch.. Meaning,, for quick starts,, you have have to launch at a higher RPM then you did before,, Then it will acell quicker thru your RPM range...Meaning,,, what you did was a GOOD thing !!
