well, as far as I know, that alpine mrd amp is meant for two ohm applications. I have a MRD M500 in my car, and I ran it with one 4 ohm sub, and wasnt that impressed, but as soon as I added another sub, and brought the load down to 2 ohm, i've began to loose my hearing. so, if that sub is not 2 ohm, then you are only gonna be pushin half the power cuz u've got twice the load.
