Sorry guys, but i still havent had the question answerd, on a 94 accord 4 dr 4 clnder w/rear disk brake... are there supposed to be peices of metal or "shims" that afe supposed to sitiin between the caliper cylinder and the brake pad to hold it there? also there would probly be one shim on the oter side, with the two prongs holding the pad on.. i dont know if they are supposed to have one or not.. any help would be appreciated varry varry much.... (sorry bout spellin... damn Amber Bock.

and if theis car has no shims, does anyone know the 94 accord problem with brake grinding, by the way. i adjused the e brake and it helped a LOT, but when corner while accelerating it grindes still ( note: not "clicking" or "ticking" but metal to metal grinding from the pat to rotor... i have installed a new rotor and pads.now i am wandering if it is just the connection to the rotor "shimmey" back and forth, causing nasty sounds

but htat is just a newb quess

is there anyone that has pinpointed this problem?

(just in case you diddent read the earliar, my car makes the noise when there are NO brakes being applied, only when going foreward and when accelerateing, but the sound is louder when cornering)

one last peice of info about the problem:

the first time i chenged the brakes onthe back, i tried to use the c-clamp "trick" , later i realised that is not how to compress back calipers.

do you think i fried my caliper or do you think that the thing the rotor connects to doesent " roll true" and might me pushing the pad to the rotor at times and sometimes now....
