I can't say how an aftermarket exhaust would fit, but from what I see it doesn't look like a problem since the sway follows the body contours closely and it is above the "tunnel" where the exhaust pipe runs. The new pipe would have to make a hard turn out of the tunnel to have a clearance problem.
