go local. IMO, paying for shipping for a d-series negates their cost advantage. I found a z6 with transmission and ecu for $500 locally. Now factor in shipping (hmotors is in california), and you're paying 50-75% more than what the motor is worth. They're abundant enough... check local websites, shops and junkyards.
