Not all of them. Most where basic SOHC VTEC engines, much like a 1.5l mini-me hybrid with beefier rods, higher compression and hotter cams. Hell, even the three stage version is only as useful as a standard VTEC performancewise (so those who don't know any better don't get any ideas.)
A D15B is a poor substitute for a D16Z6/Y8, IMHO. It's lower displacement, which means lower torque regardless.
From my understanding, for some reason the importers are carrying over metric standard PS ratings as horsepower. Granted, the German word "pferdstarke" translates directly over to "horsepower," but the US standard horsepower is actually stronger then the metric horsepower. Granted, it's only around 1hp to 1.014ps, but you lose a few HP in the translation. In this case, the D15B is kicked down from 130hp to 128hp, only three horsepower more then the relitively low compression US D16Z6 and identical to the still somewhat low compression US D16Y8.
