gaining muscle mass will ultimately aid in burning fat, but if he's been working out for a month and has gained a few pounds, whether it be muscle mass or not, it will severly discourage him from continuing what he's doing.
:werd: You do have a point there. I remember my whole thing was when i was working out that I was trying to burn fat since i had ingested soo much during my year of working at McDonalds.
