I'm curious... I haven't purchased a new car in awhile. Is the HondaCare sold and underwritten by Honda, or is it underwritten by a 3rd-party company? I ask because there's been some news lately about 3rd-party warranty companies not staying viable and thus not paying for maintenance work. Also, read the fine print. Some extended warranty packages do not permit any type of modifications. My brother-in-law purchased an extended warranty for his truck. He put bigger, taller tires on and later blew a head. The extended warranty company's inspector saw the tires and nullified his warranty. The cost to repair was $1,500 out of pocket.
