I have no clue how CHP's is, but please let me push you away from the dark side anyhow. Go to real police work man, don't do CHP.

That said, do whatever makes you happy man =]. The more the marrier!

Now, onto the Polygraph. It starts with a 250-350 question paper. You answer them truthfully to the best of your ability, and circle any ones you want to talk about to "clear up" before going onto the machine.

You go in and interview with the guy who runs the Polygraph, going over all of that stuff and he takes notes while you do it. Then, you sit down after you're satisfied and he is, and he asks you some questions at random, and then blanket questions like "Did you lie at all" etc. etc. while on the machine.

It's insanely nerve wracking.
