On the other hand, more surface area = faster cooling. In this case the pads have less of a surface to grab, but the rotor has more surface area to expel heat. "Dimple Drilling" will not decrease the strength of the rotor itself as much as cross drilling will. For a daily driver regular rotors should suffice. It's really up to you to decide if they are going to be functional for you. Europes best cars come with slot drilled rotors stock.
