last time i checked, Spoon ITR motor is just a factory ITR motor that's been balanced and blueprinted (Honda factory motors.. especially ITR isn't that far off) with slightly more aggressive cams. I don't know where you're seeing "race" motors, but I'm guessing if you could afford a Spoon Race motor, you could probably afford build your own motor to better specs than Spoon's.

i think the question in hand is sort of stupid. if you don't know that high compression and boost don't go together, maybe you shouldn't be spending your cash quite yet. take a course or two in automotive basics. it'll save you a lot of money and a whole of embarrassment. (be glad you asked that before you went and boosted an 11.0+:1 balanced motor).
