has anyone heard of this?

this is the quote i got from the guy i purchased my brembo rotors from after i asked if the holes were supposed to be drilled all the way thru..they were drilled and slotted by an aftermarket company.

"The new way of drilling is called DIMPLE drilling. It helps keep the shape of the rotors. Alot of people say that drilling all the way through weakens the rotors so doing it this way keep more metal on the rotor and works the same. Please leave me feedback, thanks!
