It's becase a lot of people on here were not close to the situation, probably don't know anyone who was killed or even know someone who knows someone who was killed on 9/11.
It was a tragic event. Yes we have to move on with our lives and we have, but we must also never forget and honor the memory of those lost as well as remember that we must always be prepared to defend ourselves as a nation from another attack.
Just ask anyone who was alive when Pearl Harbor was attacked. For many years the country stood uneasy about being attacked but then the stigma wore off and the US thought it was invincible again. Then came 9/11 and that was proven WRONG!
I will be wearing my red white and blue on Saturday, showing my remembrance for those lost, my pride for the country, as well as my support for what we are doing and the war on terrorism. (lets try not to make this a political thread. Those of you that want to hate on this, do it in another thread
