Yea, what Kestral said...most animals are scared of people naturally, people usually get attacked when they scare the animal first and put them in defense mode or if the animal is sick or uber hungry. Having a whistle can warn animals of your approach, unless you get a defenseless-bird or injuried-deer whistle.
