You got a point there...if they had any brains they'd have a real job.

On my '88 Jetta, the thief broke the door handle off, and reached in and pulled the catch. The other two times (same car) the thief broke the rear quarter window out. (all this within one year!) My insurance co. almost cancelled me over that car. The door was easy to jimmy on it, so I don't know why theives had to smash things up, I can only guess it was quicker.

Many years ago I worked at a VW dealer, and the salesmen were always accidently locking the keys inside, so I had to go get them out. Some cars were pretty easy to open without a key.

My '92 Civic was ridiculously easy to get into.
