a GUI operating system
Don't forget your freakin' MOUSE was a descendent of what Jobs and Wozniak invented in their garage, and everyone thought they were crazy.
Apple put these working technologies into their standard hardware line-up before Microsoft ever had drivers for this crap... So... what standards are we talking about here? Fortunately there's enough competition so it trickles down to you within a couple of months, several bloat-ware OS patches and lawsuits later. Competition is good. Every business needs it. It makes all of them better.
