its probably the same as my 6gen. you have to remove the door panel, and then you'll see some plastic "rivets" holding the armrest section to the rest of the panel. cut the tops off those rivets rewrap armrest then find a way to secure the armrest back to the rest of the panel. i actually tapped the holes that were left in the back of the door panel and used short flat head bolts to secure them. worked amzing
