well, thats why I'm inspecting the motor before I buy it. He's letting me take the head and the oil pan, off. Plus, even if the sleeves are out of round, the rods are bent and the pistons are scarred. Heck, even if the crank is cracked, those are all things I will be addressing with my rebuild. He is a local guy with a good reputation as a seller though, so I doubt theres anything more than a spun bearing or a scorched valve or two.
if u inspect it...then migth be alright, make sure, theirs no holes in the block or anything....
