I do agree you generally get what you pay for, but that would imply that you can never find a good deal on something, which we all know isn't true.
Just check it out to make sure you know what you're getting. He says it has a spun bearing, and you're okay with that, but it might have more than just a spun bearing. It also might be stolen or unknowingly purchased from someone else who stole it.
It's good to cover your bases, just to be safe. You'd rather have what you were looking for at a reasonable price, then get a great deal on something you can't use, right?
