d16? do you mean b16? ok well yea h22's are pretty heavy and to the typical honda enthusiast, well that would be going against the rules heh. it really depends on what engine you want.. now honda is known for having sooo many diffrent engines.. how much money can you spend? do you wanna go NA or boost? id probably have to say that honda's top b series engins for all motor applications would be b16's, j-spec ctr, b18c1's, c5's, or b20/vtec... now if you wanted to go boost, which is gonna cost you a shit load of cash.. well first of all with boost applications you're gonna be better off going with an a-spec honda motor.. the reason for that is that all honda a-spec engines are lower compression.. b16's (si) are really popular for boost and so are b18c1's (gsr). these are probably some of the most popular around out of the newer gen of b series engines. one of the less expensive but deadly routes would be b18b (ls)... or if you really wanna make a scene go b20 boost.. now b20's are crv engines.. yes some applications are awd but that wont be an issue.. if you are planning to go b20 boost, be prepared to have ALOT of money.. this was once my dream and there was no way possible that i could ever achieve it.. well i could have but other things became more important in my life... i have only seen 1 b20/boost car at all of the car shows i've been to.. now if you watch any of that sport compact drag shtuff.. well most of the big honda teams are using b20's. so you get the idea of the potential there.. i could probably write about this for hours and hours.. if you need any help on setups or idea's, dont hesitate to ask.. peace
whoops... yea if you didnt know what a c5 is, the correct code is b18c5 (itr). now c5's are also known as the chasis code on the newer corvettes.. now if any of you are up on the gm/honda manufacture war... well gm released the c5 to get back at honda.. although gm has been on track to meet this chasis code for quite a few years.. so it could probably go either way.. not even many enthusiasts know about this... id probably have to say that c5's, b18c1's and b20/vtec has the strongest all motor setups of any honda or acura engines.. beside the nsx... wait whats the engine code in an nsx? yea... hope this helped a little....
