psi should be set at 38-46 with the vacuum hose disconnected and pinched. but the b&m regulator attaches to your stock regulator...if thats busted the b&m wouldnt really do much...if you want an adjustable regulator look into the aem one which replaces the stock unit and probably is less than dealers price
