dazco, nanowax has good initial results but it's just...not durable?

I think you should look into some Clearkote vanilla moose and Meguiars #16. It's very durable, and very good looking.

The vanilla moose is just to clean very lightly, fill in minor imperfections. You don't have to use it everytime you put on #16.

Gold Class is not good. I hate it. I hate working with it. I hate the shine it gives. I hate how it lacks durability. #16 is their old-school wax from back in the 70s and it's still an awesome product.
