that what i remember. i'll have to ask my uncle who works for the us government. he's a flight controller and saw the whole thing. and by the way...the radar tapes of the plane that went down in PA, they're no where to be found for a reason...

I remember the media was covering that flight. They said a fighter jet was close by and would be there to escort the plane to a nearby airport. the fighter pilot was given permission to shoot it down if the hijackers did not collaborate. I guess the fighter pilot had no choice but to shoot it down before it reached city limits.
