Yes, I question the need for the FPR at your current power level. I wouldn't bother replacing it - unless for some crazy reason fuel pressure is below factory spec. [I've seen it happen, so you may want to check fuel pressure to be sure.]
Secondly, let me clarify my point about the Skunk2 Intake manifold....given what I've read and seen, the mods you're considering will produce gains at higher RPM.
Assuming that VTEC engagement and cam profiles remain equal.. I am concerned that the elimination of the "secondary" intake butterflies will cause a loss in mid-range torque due to lower port velocity from 4000 rpm to about 6000 rpm. That said, the free-flowing Skunk2 manifold
will help you with high-rpm cylinder filling and produce gains in the top-end (6000 to redline).
All I am saying is...while you'll clearly make more peak power with these planned mods, the powerband will be shifting to the right as well, with more power at high RPM.
