In my opinion the SH is only better than the base from the factory because of its color matched side skirts, rear spoiler, manual only transmission, and atts unit for Superior Handling during hard cornering it sends power to the outside wheel (the one actually gripping the ground) to prevent understeer. We'll who in our day in age leave their cars stock? Not many. 1st off the atts unit is known for its share of problems (i.e. tiptronic transmission), and weighs about 50 pounds more. Oh yeah who really cares about the spoiler, the stock one imo sucks anyhow. One could have installed an LSD, body kit, and suspension upgrade, and made their base look and handle way better than a stock SH could dream of (basically any car can do this). Also atts limits those with boost in mind since the atts can only handle so much boost and a certain mph. It sucks for installing headers too since it needs longer headers than the base to go around the atts unit. Since the SH is heavy (although not by much at all) and the engine output is the same as the base. I would say that the base 5speed is better than the SH in the long run.
