hey... i had a 87 integra and it moved fast because of the light weight and the gearing. give your car a proper tune up and it should run better. change oil, tranny fluid, spark plugs, air filter, and if possible fuel filter.

as for you clutch situation, u can have a worn clutch and the system never got serviced in a long time. that can make your clutch feel like its not grabbing fast enough due to air in the lines, worn clutch disc, etc.

once you have air in the clutch lines, it can affect performance of you car.
