The xA and xB offer a good level of equipment (power everything, good stereo, ABS) and unique personality for the price. They're funky enough that people like to customize them. People are buying plenty of them at my dealership, and we're averaging over $1000 per car in accessories. Sure, they don't cater to the enthusiast market, but they serve a purpose and they do it well.
