the digi-rebel comes with a cmos chip (not like CCD that comes in cheaper cameras) that you are able to "upgrade" by flashing with a hacked firmware. it wont give you UBER megapixels...but you can get about 1.4-1.6mp more. not many people do it because you cant undo firmware hacks.
