And furthermore, a lot of remedial work will be needed to reliably turbocharge a 15 year old motor. In the end, if you decide to pursue forced induction...a newer SOHC VTEC D16Z* may be a better candidate than your stock motor. It all depends on the amount of power you're looking for, the budget you're bound to..and how reliable you need the car to be.

For now, tighten up the chassis, freshen the bushings all-around, get some light, strong wheels and quality tires on the car...it will help immensely.
