Unfortunatly that's a debate that can roll on for hours and days. Everyone has their own experiance.

I've personally never had a WD drive fail, but I've had failures from most of the other big names, Maxtor, IBM, Segate, Quantum, Hitatachi and some smaller named onces. I use only WD drives for the past 5 years and have never had a failure. Most of the computers I have my WD drives in are on 24/7.

I'm not looking to start a debate, but I give a :thumbup: for WD and a :a: for everyone else. My experiances.
