I strongly doubt the lens will be cooled sufficiently to prevent the plastic from melting. A 35 watt H3 bulb gives off a lot of heat. A 55 watt bulb is even worse. So if you're going to use the fog lights, install them as intended.

IMO, foglamps are absolutely mandatory for night driving in the suburbs. I'm amazed that the DOT approved the USDM projectors on the DC Integra.

Then again, I equipped my last car with 4x6" 75 watt Hella "Rallye" driving lamps. They could illuminate the darkside of the moon. h:
