i have a 93 civic 4dr and del sol, both have vtec engines. on my 4dr the vtec pulls very hard at 5200 rpm. My del sol just kinda gets a little faster. I had a friend who is really into honda stuff drive my 4dr dx(he has a 4dr ex). Since he was used to driving with one hand on the wheel from his standard he said he almost lost control when the wheel pulled in vtec mode. He also never seen a vtec motor pull that hard when in vtec. I first thought it was my MSD that I put on it. so i moved the MSD to the del sol hoping for that same pull, but nothing. I dont have much info on this engine other than its a d15z1 from an old vx. Any ideas why it would pull so much more? Im kinda thinking the cam on it may have been changed. this engine had a few mods done to it before i got it. that I am sure of.
