It takes longer to render video on a laptop because of processor power etc. but they do just fine. Last three vids I have made have been on my laptop and I have rendered up to 90 minutes at one time which took a couple hours in DVD format.
Yea, it's something more along the lines of minor short car clips, etc.. Nothing too extensive. I'm also looking at a 3ghz setup h:

I really need a computer of my own. I use my dad's pc now and he has his laptop as well. So I can always bum off this computer for things.
