Projector housings really do an excellent job of putting the light where you need it, and minimizing it where you don't, provided you have a bulb that puts out a good amount of light w/ a good beam pattern (as 9006 and 9005 bulbs do, which is what Integras use).
Tony the Tiger retrofitted Audi HID projectors into his stock Camry headlights, which have fluted prismatic lenses. They seemed to work well, but those headlights also have separate high and low beams, so he was able to retain the high beams. If you put Audi projectors or the like inside Civic headlights, you won't have high beam capability, which means you would not pass inspection if it is required in your city or state.
use a bi-xenon projector if you're worried about not passing
